Welcome to www.tochiafriq.com, the online home of Tochi Afriq, a fashon company operating out of Sydney Australia.
Tochi Afriq, the brainchild of Tochi Ohaegbu, is different from any other fashion company you might have encountered in the past. Drawing from his rich African roots and his deep understanding of both continental and international fashion, Tochi founded Tochi Afriq in 2015, and it has become an overnight success.
What we do
Tochi Afriq designs and produces modern Afro-Caribbean and European blend of fashion clothing and accessories for men and women of all ages. This is a company that produces only the best of the best, and is deeply proud of its clientele base of high-taste fashion personalities.
Since its inception, the company has participated in several fashion shows across the length and breadth of Africa, Australia, UK and the United States, and is driven by the overriding goal of expanding and reaching all the corners of the globe.
Tochi says his ambition is to build the brand to become one of the top fashion brands in the world offering products made in Africa by Africans.
Tochi, Tochi Afriq’s founder is the consummate fashionista cum businessperson. Born in Aba, a sprawling city in Southeast Nigeria famous for fashion goods and small scale business manufacturing, he worked in the health industry for 8 years before finally succumbing to the fashion bug.
Having always been involved in fashion, he first learned clothing making and designing from his mother who was also a fashion designer.
Through Tochi’ college years, he ran his own small fashion business and earned enough money doing what he loved to support himself during college years. He also ran a fashion export company Octanani Internantional Ltd in Seoul South Korea from 2006 till 2009
A company with a social conscience
Tochi Afriq is a company with a social conscience, keen to give back to the society. Today, it partners with a charity organization called Fighting Poverty / MADE IN ABA PROJECT to raise funds to provide training and equipment, set up factories, create employment for youths in fashion, and to promote locally made African fashion products to the western world.
